I like to make special treats around Christmas. So far this year we've made gingerbread men and Rudolph tartlets. The Rudolph tartlets were a hit!
I'm looking for some fun new recipes to ad to my Christmas baking repertoire. Anyone have recipes they'd like to share? What are your kids favourites? And yours?
TIA

Ruldolph tartlets?????? How do you make those?

A fav we make every year is Choc Royal mini puddings and chocolate balls.

I have also made gingerbread men and a similar thing to the above posted recipe however use the strawberry for the base as well as the hat

I know it's simple but we make rocky road. Cadbury chocolate melted and mix in lolly raspberries, marshmallow, nuts and any other lolly that we think would be nice ( clinkers, honeycomb, mint leaves, Turkish delight, cherry ripe etc ) kids love it and adults too lol

I am less into novelty and more into traditional treats - we may make any of the following: panforte, rum balls, white christmas, shortbread, sugar cookies, German ginger cookies (forget what they are called)...

I'd love some non-chocolate recipes. Going to the ILs for Christmas and would like to take some goodies, but my poor FIL is allergic to chocolate. I'd love to do rum balls for him, but of course they are all cocoa based..I am going to do White Christmas, I did gingerbread men last year but not sure I can be bothered with them this year.

Runaway Princess - my sister makes a version of 'rum balls' with white choc bits and craisins without cocoa which she calls snowballs that are really yummy. I'm sure you could leave out the white choc and just use craisins original.gif
