The nsw foo authority says we can't have this, but if the cheese is pasteurized, what's the problem? I'm craving it SO badly!! A lot of US sites say it's fine...

It's not the pasteurisation that's the issue, it's the moisture content. Recent thread here

bake it!!! i actually prefer feta once it's been baked, it changes the texture and makes it nicer

It is matured in brine which is why it's not safe. Cook until it's hot really.

I used to put it in the oven at 170 Celsius on a baking tray on top of a piece of baking paper and cook for about 15 minutes. Yum. Soft and delicious.

The Baby Centre app says Feta is safe, and I have to say that I have enjoyed it a few times with salads so far, and on pizza and home made pull aparts.
