Just looking for a cloth swim nappy for my 10 week old and was wondering if anyone had any reccomendations.

I just use Huggies Swimmers for DD. A good tip I got is that you can reuse them a few times once rinsing with water and drying on the line. Of course I would chuck them straight away if there was a number 2 in there but that's yet to happen.

I've bought one pack and still haven't gone through it and DD has been to swimming lessons since 5 months old.

ETA: Sorry OP, just realised you suggested cloth nappy!! This may still be an options for you as you can reuse....

I just remove the insert from my pocket nappies and have an instant swim nappy. All a swim nappy is is something to catch any poos that might occur in the pool.

I used an Aquanappy, it lasted from about 3 months right through to toilet training and now it's getting passed on to a friend (when I find it!!)

It was this style not the pull on ones - more flexible with sizings and easier to remove safely if it's "full"!Aquanappies

DD had swim nappies from Target. Good but not pretty designs. We had some beautiful swim nappies from Run Scotty Run which were VERY cute and worked fine.... that said DD never did a #2 the whole time she was swimming (she suprisingly holds on and will run off to the toilet for #1s now she's toilet trained).

DS was tiny when we started & we loved our Monkey Doodlez swim nappy with snaps. He's up a couple of sizes now but we've stuck with the brand. Love the snaps for adjustment & because if he does do a poo, I don't have to pull it down his legs.We got ours from Darlings Downunder.

We generally use Happy Babes, started with a medium when DD was 6 months and she is 18 months now and it still fits - it has 3 separate lots of snaps so very adjustable. It is very lightweight too and not bulky.

I also have some Speedo ones which have come as part of a set with the rashie. These are pull on style ones so obviously haven't lasted as long due to sizing, but they work very well.

I use a Pikapu nappy cover as a swim nappy, and that works well for us. Mind you, it's a velcro closure and my daughter is starting to enjoy opening velcro nappies (though so far she's been too distracted when swimming).

I agree with a previous poster - a pocket nappy cover with the inserts removed would also be fine. I think my Fuzzibunz snap-closure nappies may soon be pressed into service for such use. The leg and back elastic is adjustable, so a good close fit, and no velcro!

My sister bought DD some bikini bottom style pants when she started swimming at 6mo. I checked with the swim school and they were fine as they would catch poo. About $15 at Kmart. Just normal bather bottoms (aka DPs for males)!
