So far very much enjoying the tests vs SA. Anyone else?

And how am I going to cope when Michael Clarke starts only making single centuries again? Or doesn't even make centuries? What is he doing to me, with these doubles and triples??

LOVE the cricket. Am quite peeved they've moved the series early, so it starts while I'm at school working mad.gif

Can we PLEASE just ditch Ponting already? I'd be quite happy to replace him with D. Hussey!

YES! DH and I have been saying this for ages! I mean, respect to Ponting for an amazing career but ENOUGH already! And D. Hussey deserves a decent shot for sure.

I don't like Clarke, but I'll give him his due. I can't standing Ponting. I don't even know why he's still on the team, he must have something over the selectors who are totally shafting Watson.

From the South African side. They rock especially my boy Kallis. We will take test match because stats prove we never lose once Smith makes his 100. biggrin.gif

I kind of wish we were playing India.

The ABC grandstand commentary with Skull & that Indian feller was HILARIOUS last year.

The RSA guy has the typical lack of humour of his kind Tounge1.gif

Oh yes I'd forgotten about that!

As for Kallis - much as it pains me to admit it, it was disappointing to see him out injured yesterday, I would've liked to see Clarke get that score against a fit and healthy SA team (well, minus Duminy), like he did in the first test. I imagine it could have been a very different day's play had Kallis remained in.

Another cricket tragic here. Hopefully today after six quick wickets......

As a Victorian, I was excited to have so many Vics in the team but, Jimmy Pat goes down with a side strain and out for majority of the summer then Quiney has done nothing and will be dropped for Watson for Perth.

The age old question, Ponting......... His average has taken a hell of a beating the last couple of seasons.

Cricket nut here too, I totally blame my grandfather for my ability to park my butt on the couch for 5 days straight Tounge1.gif I got cranky this morning as I had to do a two-hour GTT, the TV in the waiting room was on Channel 7 and they wouldn't change it over to the cricket!

Wasn't a fan of Clarke to start with but I've changed my tune! Also agree re Ponting - there comes a time where you need to say 'Ok, the reflexes aren't quite what they used to be and it's just not working for me anymore, time to step aside', rather than waiting to be dropped by the selectors.

DH was sitting with me on the couch yesterday, and he said "You know what, it feels like summer now. It's stinking hot and there's cricket on the TV."

*giggle*

Today's play is quite interesting. Not a lot of runs happening, but interesting mental games.

Bless ABC grandstand.

Ah Kerry O'Keeffe.... The grandstand team are great together.

What a day of nothing really. Blokes like Siddle busting himself with no reward.

Now onto Perth.... Johnson is into the squad. And Hazelwood? I wonder if the WACA will produce a classical Perth pitch.
