My daughter has never had a big party so for her 6th birthday next Sunday we are doing a disco party at a club function room.
She is having 34 kids which includes the whole kindy class, friends from out of school activities etc. I am a bit stuck for lolly bag ideas as i obviously cant spend alot per child, anyone got any ideas? |

We headed to our nearest big w and had a lovely time in the $1 toy section. bubble sticks and little packs of animals kept our party kids happy.

I did cookies on a stick for my DDs 6th birthday party. I think they were about $3 each, individually wrapped in cellophane with a ribbon and gift tag saying 'thankyou for celebrating my birthday with me', all different shapes - butterflies, flowers, circles, beetles, beautifully decorated. So much easier than lolly bags, no more expensive, and popular with the kids and parents.

A brown paper bag which your daughter could decorate or just leave plain.
Fill with simple things. For eg. (not all of this necessarily) - a little bag of chips from the big mixed bags - a jelly snake - a lollipop - a paper cocktail umbrella - 10 teddy bear biscuits wrapped in cellophane - stick of licorice - musk stick - pencil - handmade notebook (folded copy paper with colour paper copy stapled on) - sticker - handful of smarties I try to keep it simple. It's really just a little treat to take home and a good way to let kids know the party is over. |

Little disco ball (you can buy a necklace), glow sticks, some groovy lollies (you can get a mix with guitars), bouncy ball, bubbles, mini notepad, pen or pencils, eraser etc.

I second the paper bag idea with either a sticker on it or print out a mirror ball and get DD to glue on to them. I usually put in one fun size choc bar (or equivalent if allergies) and a few small toys. For a disco party I would definitely use flow sticks/toys. The you could but a couple of multipacks of party favours and get your DD to help you divide them up. Some stickers are always welcome by that age group.

Kmart is great for novelty stationary the last party we had we got packs of mini highlighters erasers in multi coloured lego shapes and other girly shapes available too the kids loved them.
For lollies my kids love the sour straps, mentos mini packs, sherbet icecream cones ( big W or coles ) smarties. Hope she has a great party |
