I'm off to a Tupperware party tonight (have been promised chocolate and champagne), so will need to do the guilty obligatory purchase. Really not into Tupperware, but I have the can opener, the marinating thingie, and the beet root keeper. I'm after something reasonably priced that's a little different, not just the storage tubs as I'm happy enough with sistema.

My eldest starts school next year, are the Tupperware lunch boxes worthwhile?

Not sure about the lunch boxes but I recommend the turbo chef

We have 8 of the small sandwich keepers and we use them daily (well, not all of them, but at least 3/day). I like the smaller ones because I'd rather use 2 or 3 than try to fill the big one.

I don't do guilt purchases at party plans anymore though.

DD & DS have the lunch bags (approx $15 each), they are great!! Ds hasn't used his yet but DD does everyday, really easy to clean out & fits quite a bit of food, even with 2 ice bricks in it!

I also got the lunch boxes (the set of 5) & the small round containers with lids, great for yoghurt, grapes, etc.

I also have the small turbo chef thingy, the ice block makers - though I haven't used them yet. I would probably go for the kids stuff just due to the fact that if they get broken you have a lifetime replacement (except the lunch bag).

A set of 4 bowls with lids. We use them for cereal bowls.

You wil get a lot of use out of a large square container (I think it is called a sweet keeper), they also have a rectangle shaped one, they are good for biscuits and slices.

Don't send kids to school with Tupperware, they tend to lose things.

The Sweet Keeper and the FridgeSmart stuff for vegies. They are literally always in use in my house.

We have the small square sandwich keeper. Been using them for 5 yrs now.

We have had two break in that time, but Tupperware have lifetime guarantee, so happily replaced them for free.

My must have is the quite exxy Microwave stack cooker.

For my kids the lunch boxes are fantastic, the ones we use most are the Sandwich Keeper Plus with separate compartments all in one box. My daughter uses hers for school every day and there is plenty of room for her lunch and snacks. I love that it doesn't have seperate bits so no losing lids. The clasp/latch can be a little tricky for littlies at first so if you buy one make sure that you get in lots of practice with snapping the latch open and closing it tight again.

Happy chopper - awesome for cutting onions etc without having to drag out the food processor. I use it several times a week.

The sandwich keeper lunch boxes are very good.

I use the lunch meat keepers continuously and they do a good job of keeping it fresh. I got them in a set of 2 with one other container as well (I don't use that one as much). Clear plastic with a blue lid.
