I am seriously stumped. I bought a nice dress from Target, but I'm not really sure it'd be classed as party wear, more like a summer frock.
DH's work Christmas party is next week, and I've been looking everywhere for some ideas. Starting to get desperate....I'm contemplating just wearing black skinny jeans and a fancy top (which I don't have..none of my stuff fits right now)....ahh this is frustrating! Have you decided what you're wearing? Show me (please!) |

Lol...ok i'll start.
I bought this dress, but then I found and fell in love with this dress. They work out to be the same price so I'm torn. Which do you prefer? Actually would you consier these Christmas party dresses? I love the look of them, but now I'm thinking maybe they're more for weddings or day time events etc? I guess I always assume evening wear to be sparkly stuff. That's how fashionable I am! |

I prefer the 2nd dress and I think as long as you are comfortable in what you are wearing who cares. Unless the party has a strict dress code then wear what you want. You can add some “dressier” accessories if you wish to formal the dress up.
Personally I prefer buying dresses I know I will get to dress up or down ... more for my money! .... as I cannot afford to buy outfits at every occasion! |

I like both of those. I am currently hung up on this dress . I wouldn't normally wear grey, but what is not to love about a drunken pink elephant print? My work Christmas function is during the day, so not terribly formal.
I am making my dress for Christmas Day - it will be a similar style to the Bernie Dexter dress there, but the fabric I have bought is black and pink floral. |

Maybelle, I love the elephant pattern...so fun!
I love the second dress too. It has pockets, so it gets extra points for being practical! |

Second dress for sure!
I love vintage style dresses but I just don't think I could pull the look off A few of the women in our group all wear vintage dresses but I feel like I'd be jumping on the bandwagon, or worse yet, turn up in the same dress and not look as good lol. |
