I've just realised today that with me not working anymore we may now be entitled to FTB, and since 1 July. Will Centrelink backdate FTB payments?
Also, do I need to call them to start the process, or can I register and do it online? |

Yes, it's able to be backdated two full financial years so if it is from the 1st of July this year then you are more than fine. Start the claim online, the see how you go.

If you do a claim for the current financial year, it's backdated to July 1. If you were eligible last fin year and the one before, you can do lump sum claims for those years but they will not be assessed as part of a claim for the current year.
Do it online, you can't do it over the phone. |
