Hi have just had a 3rd C-section and everything so far has been a good recovery. My doctor said I had a few adhesions on my bladder but nothing serious and he said I could have 1 more c-section if I wanted. He advised to wait 12-18 months if possible. Just wondering if this is the norm what people wait. Has anyone fell before this time frame and did it go well?
I'm healthy and fit and aged 34, do many people have 4 c-sections? i no no one that has had more than 3? My other gaps between sections was 3 and 4 years. But am hoping if we try for a forth to have a smaller gap.. Thanks |

I've had 4 c-sections but they were 3-5 years between each one. I was never told to wait a certain time however I did go public. The only time they were concerned was when I was pregnant with #4 as I was classed as high risk. Don't think I would like to have anymore though.

I've had 4 with no complications and personally know two ladies who have had eight, also without complication.
As my fourth (7th child) was a surprise, I had almost exactly 4 years between my third and fourth. |

I've had eight. Our gaps are 12 months, 3 years, 21 months, 4 years, 2 years, 15 1/2 months and 34 months. I was warned after #7 not to have anymore. With my eighth they did mention cutting some adhesions away from the bladder but my recovery was as good as the others.

I just had my second c-section, the Dr mentioned bladder adhesions and told me not to get pregnant in the next two years. But we are not going to have anymore anyway due to my age.

I've had eight, the 2 that I had just 13 months apart are the ones that I had issues with (the later one) - I had placenta acreta/increta. I would personally wait the time suggested by the doctor if you can. I have loads of adhesions and my bladder was adhered to the placenta.

Hey cojack
I've had 4 C's - falling pregnant with 4th 14 months after 3rd babe was born I was told when 3rd child was delivered that my uterus was like rice paper and I shouldn't carry another child. 4th child wasn't planned, and given this comment and the time frame I was pretty freaked out, but another OB told me all was just fine. I seconded this with another OB who also backed this up. I was monitored pretty intensely due to a non-preg issue and all went well with great recovery. |

Hi Ladies
Thanks for the replies. Spoke to my doc again on Friday and queried him about my uterus he said it was fine not thin at all. Just a few adhesions, but he said with any op you develop these. He stressed that the best time to wait is 18 months before becoming pregnant but he would be happy with 12 months. So that is all great am happy to wait ! Glad that there are some great success stories around with mutiple c-sections. I've had a few people say that its crazy to have more than 3, so Im glad I posted here to get some feedback. |

I've had 4, 20 months between the first & second then a gap of 4 years then 15 months between 3rd & 4th c/s.
My uterus was noted as thin after the last C/S but my OB said I could go for one more, possibly 2 if I wanted. |
