I hope I am posting this in the right place - please let me know if there is another place I should be posting this...
My FS just rang and I have to start taking 20mg of Prednisolone once a day. For those who have taken this do you find it better to take it in the morning or night time? My FS said it will cause some sleeplessness so I am wondering if taking it in the morning is better? Or if it makes you feel a bit yuck I would prefer to take it at night time where I am at home rather than feeling yuck at work. Any suggestions or tips are greatly appreciated. |

I took it in the morning, but didn't sleep for 5 days anyhow. It was crazy - but I was on a high dose.
Take it in the morning and get all the housework done. |

Perfect timing on the questioning! I've just picked up my first dose. When I spoke to RI at 4pm- ish he said to start today, but pharmacist said morning is better time to take it.....so I'm going to wait till the morning. I'm on 25mg.
Clexane starts tomorrow too! OUCH! Actually, I wonder if I should take one lot now, and swap to am tomorrow........hmmmm.... |

I take it in the morning. It has caused me some issues with dizziness, nausea and headaches, but that has been a 24 hour thing
Trick with Clexane is to use an ice pack to totally numb the area, grab a handful of belly (fat is better & I found two inches to the side of my belly button was less sensitive) squeeze the belly between thumb and fingers hard then MOST IMPORTANTLY stab hard and fast. Seriously the slower you do it the more painful. Press plunger SLOOOOOWLY while concentrating on something else. Most of the time I didn't even feel it and I am renowned for my lack of pain tolerance. Good luck ladies This post has been edited by Mousky: 24/11/2012, 06:22 PM |
