sad.gif I know it sounds silly, but after our loss last year at 13 weeks (compulsory termination due to abnormality) I am scared to test.
Have sore boobs/nipples very tender, period is 3 days late and have been feeling nauseous at the same time everyday which I had last time too, also same as last time; I feel like I'm starving hungry but then feel sick after two mouthfuls.
I'm scared that I'll test and it's a BFN and I will be disappointedI'm scared that I'll test and it's a BFN and I will be terrified of loss or fetal abnormality again
Sigh, Hmph.Sorry to whinge but DH is away for work so I have till tomorrow to decide if I have the courage to test or not!

Sorry for your loss...

I think you will have to test.

Maybe wait and do it with DH?

Hi Mrsjessicas

It doesn't sound silly at all. 100% normal infact. After a loss last year i was in the same predicament and the doctor was charting for me and wanted me to test at a certain point. I actually POAS and walked away because i just couldn't bare the thought of it. Ironically though that month was positive for us and i actually did another 5 tests as i didn't quite believe it until we got our blood results.

Take your time and do some nice things for yourself. Lots and lots of self-care
xx

Not silly at all - totally understandable.

For me, I got to the point where I HAD to test, as the not knowing/uncertainty was worse than knowing one way or the other. (Mine was BFN - my cycle was all over the place, with 6 weeks or more between periods).

As for the fear of loss/abnormality/something going wrong - as I shared in your other thread, for me, this didn't go away until my son was born. sad.gif

If a cat doesn't like you, then what's wrong with you?
Congratulations Op and so sorry for your loss. It is understandable that you will go into the next pregnancy feeling apprehensive.

All the best for the next 8 months. original.gif

Congrats OP and I hope you don't stress too much but as someone who has been in a similar position the worry will be there. Most people feel once they get past the 'loss mark' where your precious angel passed or terminated that you will relax a little bit more. For me it was 40 weeks when DD died so my pregnancy was 'stressful' and 'emotional'
Please understand that unlike a lot of your friends or family you will have the thoughts in your mind a lot more and will panic. I wish you a very boring and uneventful pregnancy and hope everything goes well. The ladies in the "pregnancy and parenting after loss section" can also be very helpful when you just want to have a cry/whinge/talk.
Sending you lots of prayers that everything goes well for you and your DH with this pregnancy
