Just want to ask if anyone had maternity Photos. If so how many weeks were you when you had it done? & are you glad you had it done? I'm having some done next week & I'll b 36weeks. I worried that I'll start to look to big & puffy!! (this is the only chance DH & I have had to do them, that's why so late)!!

I didn't with pregnancy number 1 but did at 36 wks, and they were good. You want that reminder of the bigger belly you get towards the end. I could have waited longer but DH was away from 37 wks to 38 wks.

I had some taken at 36 weeks + 6 (2nd pregnancy). Next day went into labour original.gif

So glad I had them done. They aren't for the wall or to show anyone, but I want memories of my belly, I loved being pregnant so wanted a visual reminder to keep.

I'm thinking about it... at first I didn't think DH would be keen but strangely enough he is... And I'll get them done later. I've got some certificate to get this package done - pregnancy and newborn photos or something. I love the professional newborn photos. They are gorgeous!!

I'm having mine done tomorrow at 34 weeks original.gif

Like one of the PPs, I'm not sure where I'm going to put up the print we get - but I am looking forward to a reminder (hubby isn't big on taking pictures with our camera so we have hardly any shots of me pregnant!)

I had mine done at 34 weeks & I am glad I got them. It was a good time for me to get mine done as I had extra amniotic fluid & was already measuring 40 weeks. I will get them done when I have #2 as well but will hire someone more experience so we can do some really creative stuff, as much as I like mine they were a little boring biggrin.gif

I had them done at 34 weeks and while I'm pleased I have them for my own memories, there is no way in hell they are being displayed anywhere. They are beyond ridiculous.

Was the worst experience having them done. At the 'photographers' (I use the term 'photographer' loosely) direction I ended up lying down with my t-shirt pulled up and a fake daisy (yes, a daisy....) in my belly button. Ridiculous. And I felt like a right fool.

I made the mistake of going to one of those studios that you see in large department stores (you know the ones) and while I had spoken with one lady the week before and she had some great ideas about what to do, it was a different person on the day. The first lady had told me to wear black and they would use a white backdrop, but on the day the screen wouldn't go up (they had lost the remote...) so it ended up being black on black. Useless, expensive for what we got and I would NOT recommend those 'studios' to anyone...

I had mine done at 34 weeks and they will be a lovely reminder of what my belly looked like when I was pregnant. It will also be nice for bub to look back on them one day and see what mummy looked like when pregnant with them wub.gif

Gr8 thanks everyone I feel like it will be a positive thing to do...like most of you said I guess I'm not going to be putting them up for display, but once the baby comes I can't then go back & get them done. Sorry to hear your bad experience 2xmum but the daisy bit did make me roll2.gif

Do it! Such a precious time in your life. But you need a good photographer. I was with Vicki Bell in Balwyn (Melbourne), she is amazing - brings out the best in you and she does it all from natural to arty. We got some amazingly beautiful acrylic & canvas pieces which I treasure & believe always will. http://www.vickibellphotography.com.au/
