Once you have more then the standard 2 kids everything gets expensive:(

Have you tried Ashmore Palms Holiday village. We just stayed there with five kids (the youngest slept in our bed). It was the cheapest I could find for our large family. And yeah I hear you - no where caters for large families.

We have always stayed at Paradise resort in either a interconnecting room if its all of us or their ''family'' room if its just me & the girls.

I know PR gets mixed reviews but its cheaper than Ashmore and we have always had good holidays there.

It is tricky finding good accommodation. Gold Coast is pretty good for apartments though and I have always been able to find somewhere for my family.

I feel your pain. We have the same dynamic -although oldest is seven.
Everything has to get bigger - house/car/fridge.

We booked two rooms with interconnecting door for a few days at the Paradise Resort on the Gold Coast.
I think, from memory it was among the cheaper options.

I found it pretty horrendous, but I may be in the minority as others I've spoken to about have raved about it.

If its for a week or so have you looked at renting a self contained apartment on the Gold Coast - Palm beach, etc?

Wotif/Last minute, stayz, etc can give you some idea on costing, etc, if you haven't looked at them, yet..

Best of luck - sounds like a fun trip!

We've recently book at Copacabana. They have 2 and 3 bedrooms and close to Cavill Avenue, reasonable rate also.

I instantly thought of APHV when I read the OP. We housed 4 adults 1 preschooler and a 6 month old. The 6mo did sleep in our bed.

Take a tent and go camping at http://www.treasureisland.com.au/

Camping is the only way we can afford to take our four children on a holiday sad.gif
