Hey everyone!
I'm only 11 weeks tomorrow, but I'm already looking at names. Please tell me I'm not the only one!. I'm convinced I'm having a girl, so that's all I'm looking at for now.

Has anyone else started considering names?

10 weeks here Adamira, and I have the boys names completely done!
Girls names are stumping me, but I'm convinced it's a boy, so I'm not too worried about it.

We've been brainstorming since we found out we were pregnant. I have the girls name sorted but I don't think it is a girl. Boys names are harder though, we can't agree on any.

Yup ! Hubby and I have been talking about it off and on for months now so we were pretty much sorted when we found out we were pregnant. Gonna keep it a secret tho. I'm also convinced im having a boy

Jacni i love that you have a spreadsheet! Is everyone keeping their names a secret? I love Luella for a Girl and we are stuck on a boy!

We're really lucky for boys in that my dad and DP's dad have the same middle name AND it's a name that we both really like. So for boys we're going with that. Middle name not decided yet.
For girls names, DP's got a name that he really likes but it starts with the same letter as our last name, and I'm not so sure whether giving a kid a sing-song kind of name is such a great idea. So with girls we're a little more open, or a least a little less decided. I really like Elizabeth Alice, or Charlotte Ann but DP's really not keen on option a and I think just prefers his name over my option b.

So, er, yes. We've started on the names business
It was part of the process of deciding to have kids, if that makes any sense at all. Mind you, we're both pretty convinced that you can't give someone a name until you've met them, so we won't name bub properly until after birth.

Hubby and I started talking names when we got married 8.5 years ago.
We had girls names sorted...
With our first son, we "settled" on names cause didn't both love any names.
With our second son (sensing a pattern here) we still couldn't agree but came up with 5, but no combinations "worked" cause of issues with teh names eg. already in family, had close friends with same kids names, rhyming yuck, too common in our circles, initials the same) and in the end both our boys have exactly the same initials cause it was the 'lesser' of the issues, and hubby loved the name so I compromised (bonus points for me )

So with this third, I wanted to start looking at boys names the day we fond out we were pregnant, but hubby said we should wait until the 18-20 week scan, cause if we're having a girl we won't have to worry! LOL. So that's what we're doing. And if it's a boy, we've only got 4 months of "discussion" to figure out a name

Hi ladies,
We've been talking names for a while. We've both agreed on a girls name. DH has a boys name that hes very keen on, Edward. I quite like Edward but its more the shortening that I'm not so sure. I am especially hesitant because my parents have a dog called 'Ted' short for Teddy. Even if Edward is Ed and not Ted, having an Ed and Ted is still a bit weird (given its a dog IYKWIM). So bit stuck on that. I mean the dog isn't going to be around forever but still not convinced.

We have both a girls and a boys name picked already, and have decided to keep the name a secret but tell people the gender. Im not very good at keeping a secret like this that I am so excited about so will be interesting to see if I dont leak the name!
