I keep hearing that first babies are usually "late". Does anyone have a link to an actual study? Not that I think it matters, I'm just curious.

My bub came 3 days before his due date. I was my Mum's first and I was 2 weeks early (though I'm sure that isn't all that common).

Sorry, I don't have a link.

1st bub was due on the 12th and even though I went into hospital on the 10th, I had her on the 12th.

They say statistically you're more likely to go overdue with #1, but there is (in my opinion) more evidence to suggest that women will follow in the footsteps of their own mother.

From a family of 41-42wk PGs

I only made it to 37w5d with #1.

#2 was evicted at same gestation.

#3 was even earlier at 36w3d.

My little sister only made it to 35w5d she had HELLP Eclampsia and bubs had to be removed for both their sakes. She was in ICU for 4 nights herself.
