Long story short. I had what I assumed to be a miscarriage at 5.5 weeks, levels dropping etc, I went for a repeat BHCG to check levels and theythave gone up? Anyone know what this could be?

My levels are as follows;

11/11/12 - 254
12/11/12 - 292
13/11/12 - 401
14/11/12 - 159
15/11/12 - 109
20/11/12 - 344

and life barrels on like a runaway train
I can't explain why it is happening or what is going on BUT I had an HCG drop in my pregnancy with my daughter. Someone speculated that maybe I had lost a twin and it was reabsorbed? I am not sure. But all is not lost for you!

I haven't seen that except maybe if there were twins. The numbers are looking good now

I had that with my 4th child, I was called up at work one morning and told I was miscarrying by my GP as my levels were dropping and the scan had failed to show anything. I didn't have a clue about possible dates as I'd gone from having my twins to her without a period, so by the initial HCG levels they guessed I was around 6-8 weeks.

Turns out I was only between 4-5 weeks (by follow up scan at 6 weeks) and they suspected she may have been a twin, hence the higher initial HCG.

Wow thats certainly an Odd one! Did you get it tested at the same place?

I would suggest the twin situation its the only thing i can think off!

Are you following up with your dr re the results?Hopefully not in your case but such levels may suggest something more serious like retained products, ectopic or molar pregnancy.Hoping things work out for you x

Thanks for your replies. It was twins. I miscarried one in the uterus and the other was stuck in my right tube. It was removed yesterday.
