OK, I know we're not allowed to rant about individual specialists...but what about clinics?
Mine is driving me nuts!! Have had six blood tests in the last six weeks - two of those they didn't have any paperwork there for me when I got there. Gave them my consent forms for this cycle on Friday - nurse phoned to ask for them today. Oh, oops, there they are in my pigeon hole. I watched them try and get someone who'd been waiting an hour for a blood test to go to the back of the queue this morning, because there had been no room in the bloods waiting area, so she'd missed her number being called as she was outside that waiting area, so they thought she should take a new number and go to the back of the queue! The nurse who took my blood a few weeks back told me her story about how her sister thought she might have to do IVF, and she (the nurse) told her to relax, so sister goes on holiday and now she has a baby. Seriously! great anecdote....for the pub. Not for an IVF clinic. Said clinic has changed location since I last used them two years ago, and now it doesn't seem they can organise their way out of a paper bag. Sure, they can create, store and transfer embryos, and that's what I most want from them....but couldn't they make it easier? Rant over. Back in my box now. |
