This isnt a vent, so i cant really put it there... I guess i just need a cheer up (any volunteers?)

This morning i dropped my two beautiful kittens at the vets to be desexed as my lil girl was on heat last week and i cant have newborn kittens and a newborn! So off to the vets we went. We pulled into the drive and i got these four eyes looking at me and asking "why are we here Mummy, where are we???" and as i looked around I realised the last time i was at the vets i took my Nanas dog who had been hit by a car outside my dads house. He died at the vets, just after we got there...
I coulnt handle it... i dropped the kitties off, gave them a quick good bye and got in the car and bawled my eyes out.
Even now, i cant think about it without crying... Now I am scared that something will happen to my babies, and I would just die if they dont come home A Ok tonight!
The hardest thing is i am not even picking them up, as i have a meeting i cant get out of and i want to be there to give them bug cuddles and tell them i love them.
I am just a wreck today....

Thats all from me, thanks for reading

xoxo

Hi Michelle

I hope you are OK and that the kitties will be fine. Desexing is such a common operation, I'm sure vets can do it in their sleep, they will be all OK and just feeling a bit sorry for themselves.

Take care of yourself...

Click the dragons, click the dragons!
Michelle,

I remember that when I got Bartholomew desexed, I was a big panicky Mam all day. I'm not surprised you feel this way.

They will be OK, it is a routine operation, and you are doing the best thing for them in the long term. Just get through today, and you'll have them back for lots of pats

Cheers

Thanks guys,

I felt like such a sook at the vets, but I am sure they see it all the time!

It was just so hard to leave them there...and they really didnt want me to go, and they were hungry and they didnt know where they were... My god if I am like this with my kittens just imagine what i'll be like with my baby!

I am sure that being pregnant doenst really help matters much.

I am going to call the vets at about midday and see how they are, til then i am keeping myself as busy as possible!

thanks again,

xoxo

(((hugs Michelle))

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is exactly what it's like to be a parent, although I'd say it's magnified. So stock up on the Kleenex wink.gif. What I found the most overwhelming when I had Tiarna, was that I had never felt so vulnerable in my life. I wasn't prepared for that.

I'm sure your little kittens are doing just fine, and you'll have them back in no time. Both my cats and my dog are desexed, so I know how you feel.

Take care

Thanks...

I called the vets at 12.30 and they are in recovery and are doing well...
I felt like such a sook calling them, but i needed to know that my kitties were ok.

Thats not bad news Chelli, this feeling of, umm overabundent love for something that relies totally on you for food, shelter and warmth, is actually a nice feeling (now i know that they are ok!). To know that i have it in me to love another being (human or animal) so much when its not even my own child, says to me that the love i will have for my baby will be damn overpowering.

I am so glad that they are ok, and thanks heaps guys for not telling me i was just being silly!

xoxo
