DH and I seem to have agreed on this for our little boy who will be arriving in 6 weeks!

Is this the spelling you would use? I have also seen it with 2 'T's' or only 1 'L'

I am also aware that this is being increasingly used as a girl's name. Do you see it as a girl's name??

Should be cleaning!
One of our Boys is an Elliot.

I don't think it really matters what way you spell it, we did it that way as we didn't like it with one "l" and thought it was too much to have both double "l" and "t" However I do find I have to tell people to spell it with on T they seem to presume its two.

Everyone couple of months on here there is a discussion on whether its a girls name or not , mostly people see it has a boys name, but some like it for a girl. I don't think it is over popular as a girl name, I personally don't like it as a girls name, but even if it did become popular I don't regret choosing it.

I like it for a boy and Elliot is a good spelling.

It doesn remind me of ET though. "Alliaht" is how ET said it!

I would vote for the 'Elliot' spelling. Have only seen it once as a girl's name (on Scrubs) and would generally think of it as a boy's name.

Out of my mind. Back in five minutes.
DS2's name is Elliot, soon personally think its a great choice. I haven't seen it spelt with only 1L before, we chose this spelling because 2 L's looked more like a surname to us.

Elliot

And it's a boys name. The use of it on Scrubs for a girl was a JOKE!!! Don't people get that?
