Hiya
What nappies do you recommend? I keep hearing mixed reviews about Huggies! I was in woollies just now and a box of 54 newborn baby loves we're $15 couldn't see what the original price was but seemed like a bargain when a Box of Huggies are normally $30.
What wipes do you also recommend? Again I've heard mixed reviews about Huggies as too wet!
What do u use and why!

Huggies Newborns were perfect for us, and are the only ones they had in the hospital. We were given a packet of the babylove newborn ones but they were far too big for DS for at least 4-5 weeks - that's the thing, even though the sizing may be the same on the packet you really need to try them. Huggies Newborns are much smaller. The trick is to ensure you fan out the frill around the legs really well, and pull them up as high as you can at the back. I think with any nappy you will get leakage, just from user error and the sheer amount that some babies can poop/wee in one episode. Don't worry, it washed out easily

DS is 5 months now, we pretty much switched to Babylove when he outgrew the Huggies Newborns, and use combination of Babylove and Woolies Select (both very good at holding lots!).

ETA We use the Huggies unscented wipes as we got given a refill box as a gift, and just keep buying the refill packets. They seem tougher and thicker than other wipes, are good for household use, and for wiping up vomit from carpet/furniture/clothes and removing the smell as well. We do have some Curash ones which are fine, and have used Aldi, but prefer Huggies. You will probably be given some as gifts, or you can just buy a few travel packs of different brands pretty cheaply and see which ones you like.

I am loving Coles thick wipes at the moment they don't rip like Huggies and are just the right wetness and only $3 a pack.
I dont like babylove at all but for a newborn they will be fine.
Woollies select or Coles are good cheaper nappies.
