I feel terrible being such a whinger because I love DD so much but need to just have a quick vent.

Why did I get the baby who hates the pram, hates the car seat, hates the swing?? I have to wear her everywhere.
Shes 3 months and feeding every 2 hours during the day. I have tried expressing so I can have a bit of a break but just cant get any out. Tried manual and electric.

I know the answer. Its just the baby Ive been dealt but feel better having a whine about it.

I can sympathise OP.

I have one just like it...except she hates the carrier too at the moment, so I have to hold her in my arms all day long.

You may have tried but we had an ergo which she was ok sometimes in but since swapping to a hugabub she loves it. Good luck with everything else too!

Oh I hear you OP, my DS is now 13 months old and still hates the pram, car seat and will still scream when I try and drive 10 minutes down the road or a quick grocery trip. He hated being carried too. Hope your LO settles for you original.gif

I find it puzzling how many moms with good supply can't get anything out at pumping. Is it due to the pump you are using? Which one are you using may I ask? I just read about wrong pump shield size may affect output.

I am not sure if I will expect DS2 to be like this anytime soon. I def don't have a good back to be baby wearing. They say babies always fuss and cry for a reason/reasons...but sometimes it seems like they do that for no apparent reason that I can think of.

The only thing that seems to bother my DS2 and make him fuss most right now is wind in the tummy so sometimes there is the need to burp him even in the middle of a sleep. i find thats when he wants carrying, and carrying uupright. It's pretty easy to determine when he's hungry and has a full nappy or if he has done a poo, but if I have got everything checked and if he stil fusses, I would assume its wind or gas.

I know you are talking about DD wanting to be carried all the time. Do you have any idea what's causing that, or is it just a phase?

Sorry I don't seem to contribute any advice.

I've tried an Avent manual and an Ameda Purely Yours electric. I've read that some woman just cant pump?? Bubs is putting on enough weight so I know its there but the pump just doesn't stimulate it like DD does.

I think shes just a velcro baby! Likes to be held and near to me.

Its crazy how different babies are. I have 4 girlfriends with babies 3 weeks apart (thats crazy in itself!).
One is exactly the same as mine and the others are the crusiest kids. Happy to be left hanging out under their play mat, sitting in the pram, sleeping in the car.. doesnt help to compare I know.

I know how you feel. DD1 was like that. I often thought why me!

She is older now and the sweetest, easiest little girl. She is very close to me too.

Its all worth it. Just remind yourself as much as you can that the hardest often ends up the best.

I wouldnt trade DD1 for the world.

Have you tried hand expressing? Sometimes that will work when pumps do not. It can be tricky to get the technique right though. But yes, apparently some women can never express or pump, even though they have good supply.

Are you front carrying only? Maybe try back carry holds if front carry holds are not always so convenient? A back carry allows me to just get on with my day like normal. I have found back carrys to be much more convenient than a front carry in regards to being able to do everyday stuff.

If a cat doesn't like you, then what's wrong with you?

It's true, some women can't express, I can't and I have always had a good supply, I have friends who are the same.

My DS is a Velcro baby, it can be very tiring. He hates the pram, the cot, used to hate the car. He is 13 months old now and only just started tolerating the pram enough for me to go for walks.

He always wants to be carried or held when out and for the first 7.5 months of his life he didn't want to be carried upright, only cradle held, when he got too heavy for his sling I had to learn to use a woven wrap to carry him so that I could get the two shouldered support to carry him.

He only naps in my arms and I have had to resort to cosleeping as he refused to go in his cot even though it was a side car cot.

That being said he is a delightful little boy, confident and independent.

I've been told it gets easier as they get older.
