I remember at 2 I started buying shoes from the US for DD2 as she had gone up into the next sizing bracket and I could not get age appropriate shoes for her, so maybe size 8?

She was/is however way above average height/weight.

I can't remember what size my kids wore then. But for comparison, my 3.2 year old just went into size 7.

I don't think 5.5 is small for a just turned 2 year old. There was an 18 month old in the shoe shop who measured as a size 2. She was tiny though!

Can't believe my baby girl is 1!
DD3 is 2.2 years. In a size 8-9 depending on the brand/style.

All of my kids started out in a size 5 when they first started walking! They have big feet. lol

We bought DS size 6.5 at just on two.

Four months later, he's well and truly size 7... an 8 in some styles.

He wears mostly size 2 clothes, but size 1 shorts as he's very skinny and all pants fall down unless belted or has elastic tighteners.

At any one time, my kids shoe sizes seems to vary by about 4 sizes, totally depends on where you buy them. My 3.5 year old currently has shoes from size 7 to size 11. At 2 he had one pair of shoes and they were size 6.

My DD was still in 4 but was only 84cms tall at the time, so quite short. But now at 2.5 she is in a size 5 and a few inches taller now, nice little growth spurt.

I think it is about an average size for a 2 yo. My 18 month old wears a 4.5 or 5 at the moment depending on shoe brand.

This is my DD except she is even smaller... She is a size 0-1 at 17 months and has worn out about 4 pairs of prewalkers as I haven't been able to find a pair of proper shoes to fit her yet... I reckon she is still about 6 months off going into a size 3 which is where I think most toddler shoes start.

DS is a 7-8 at 3 1/2 so also small feet but nowhere near as small as DD!
