I am stuck for what to get my DS. He has his birthday coming up too and I have no idea.
He wants an Xbox but I don't want to spend that much on just him when I have 2 others to but for as well. He also wants a mobile phone, but I'm not sure if I'm ready for him to have one of those yet. I'd happily buy him one but it's the ongoing costs that I really don't want. Anyway, what is your 12yr old DS asking for/getting? TIA Megan |

My DS is nearly 12 . We asked him to make a 'wish list' to give us an idea of what he might like. On his is series 6 of Dr Who, any Dr Who t-shirts or games or books, sonic screwdrivers, itunes cards, Rick Riordan boooks, Suzanne Collins books, settlers of Catan game, lego, hover soccer, a new soccerball, a board game called Ticket to ride,a desktop catapault and mini fort, minecraft membership, black smiggle stationery. This is his wish list. I'm not sure yet which items he wil receive as I am not familiar with some of them.

Good question! My just turned 13 year old DS has asked for a mobile phone, which I'm not prepared for him to have. He just received an ipod touch for his birthday, and being the new one there are not too many accessories available for it. Between him and his two younger brothers they aldready have an abundance of biles, scooters and skateboards, a trampoline and a pool table. I'm thinking maybe a slot car set to share with an individual car for each of them. Maybe.

Against my better judgement he is getting an x box. He has hinted to other family members that he would like lego, the latest Diary of a Wimpy Kid book, Dr Who stuff from the ABC shop or movie tickets.
Op, have you checked out ebay or gumtree? A 2nd hand one might be a better bargain? |
