Wow after only really hearing stories of people's bad experiences with customer service I thought I would share my experience today.

Came home from shopping and noticed my rear passenger tyre was going flat. (Slow leak still enough to drive on)

Drove it to my local Beaurepairs shop to get it fixed, a nasty big screw puncture.

They not only fixed it almost straight away for me, but didn't charge me biggrin.gif

They said they when I need new tyres just to remember them, I explained that I would probably be trading the car in next year and won't need new tyres before then, so just charge me.

They refused and said not to worry about it biggrin.gif

I was utterly gobsmacked! If I ever need new tyres I most certainly will take it there.

I think excellent customer service is so rare these days that when it does happen I'd do something to reward them. Eg. like drop off a little box of chocs for the staff or simply write a letter complimenting their service as a token of appreciation.

When I worked in customer facing roles, customer compliments were highlighted to store managers who (the nice ones) in turn rewarded employees with little things like movie tickets etc.

Great idea! I will be sure to do so next weekend (so I ensure the same staff get it!)

I always give credit where credit is due and when I receive good customer service I write to the head office telling them about the great service I got at XXX shop on XXX day and time so they know who was on that shift.
