Just wondering do people still use a paper diary these days? I instinctively went out and bought the same type that I have been using for years when I thought I should use my phone. Until now I haven't had a fan dangle phone so it didn't cross my mind.

I have loved having a paper diary to write my appointments in but know I should probably use the phone. ANyone the same?

Yep I have the iPhone 5 and I love it cause it syncs to my mac when I put appointments on the phone or mac. I find it easier to check over then a diary and less room is taken up since I am going to be taking my phone anyway with me. It's also great as I use the reminder alarm so I know I have X amount of time left until I need to be somewhere has made planning with a LO so much easier original.gif

Yes I do. I am a paper diary fanatic and after many diaries have found my perfect one, a simple student diary, great as it costs me $5. I can list all my appointments in the diary section and my to do list on the other list section...am reluctantly coming to terms with the fact that once I upgrade to a iPhone the paper diary may become redundant. But... How does the family see what is going on, as my paper diary is on the kitchen hence for hubby to check out too...?? Mmmm think I will stick to my paper one for now..

I use both.
My phone is used for pencilling in appointments and scheduled commitments, but adding notes to it is a PITA.
The paper diary is for planning out the day, writing lists of things to be purchased and thinking through my commitments. Once I've done all my thinking, usually transfer what I've written into my phone so that I'm lugging less stuff with me.

Yep the only electronic diary I use is outlook at work and I transfer those appts to my paper diary! I love having a big diary with times down one side and a huge space for writing notes, to do lists, phone numbers, etc.

I only just started using my phone this year to replace the little diary I used to carry around in my handbag and I love it - love being able to set reminders especially for birthdays! We still have a paper calendar hanging on the wall in the kitchen though otherwise DH would never know what is happening original.gif

Work was always electronic, home is always paper. I love technology but always have preferred the paper diary. Plus it is useful to be able to look back and work out dates that things happenned in years gone by.

I have gone back to paper in the last couple of years as it is better for me. I find writing things down makes them more likely to stick in my memory and I'm not forever checking my phone to see what works for (paed, work, friends etc).

Plus you can get some very pretty paper diaries original.gif

I have a notebook that I carry around with me constantly for work. I write details of people I have spoken to, notes, appointments (although I do put my appointments on the computer which then syncs to my phone) even rough working outs.
