I have a 10 week old DD whose neck strength and head control is still very poor. I put her on her tummy at every nappy change, and she tends to mostly just lie there with head on the floor and look around, only lifting it occasionally. My DS was had more neck strength at 2 weeks than she does now. It is definitely improving (the GP isn't concerned) and suspect it is within the realms of normal, especially as her arm and leg strength is good. I'd just like to hear about when your LO started to get more control of their head.

Have u tried popping a rolled up towel under her? This helped my DD a lot. Put it under her chest and have her arms bent forward (I hope that makes sense!) and sit down low in front of her so she can see your face.

You can try holding bub across your forearm, with her tummy and chest on your arm and you hand under her chin/neck. They get a bit less frustrated than when on their tummy on the floor.
