It's still early days but just wanted to know how others got through their 2nd pregnancy with a toddler in tow. Do you have any tips and does it go a lot quicker as you are so much busier!?

Faster, easier and much more exhausting, was my experience. I had only been back at work for a month, my baby was 6 months old, when I found out I was pregnant again.
Remember when you used to lie down in the first and third trimester, when you were tired? Well the lying down bit is a rare occurance, but the tired bit is now double Just get all the rest you can, when your little one lets you. Plus, with a toddler, at least they will be able to walk around for you at the back end of your pregnancy, instead of having to carry them, however they can get away pretty fast at that age |

For me pregnancy with number 2 was easier than number 1 except for the pelvic pain.
Morning sickness was less, I was able to sleep during the day when DD1 slept. I didnt have the same anxieties as the first time. Now...the third pregnancy has been tough |

I went back to work already pregnant and DS1 was not walking. It was exhausting but it went soo fast. DS1 didn't start walking until after DS2 was born so I had bad back pain because I still had to lift.
Take all the help that is offered, mine and DH's family were great at taking DS1 for a few hours. I would have to admit my DH was really good at looking adter DS1 at the end of the day when I was exhausted. Ds1 was 16months when DS2 was born and the logistics of doing anything with the 2 takes some geting used to! Good luck. |
