Hi, Well, my daughters name in itself is not unusual, but for a girl I think it is.Her name is Dylan, Dylan Kate. We are expecting another baby and while I'm not particularly a fan of unusual sounding or spelt names I think if we chose something along the lines of Lisa or Mark the Dylan's name will be the odd one out. To make things even more difficult I like the idea of having a "y" in the name.I am thinking Peyton (for a girl) and Lakyn (for a boy)I would love anyone's honest (I'm not easily offended) opinions and/or suggestions. Another name I like is Chase (for a boy) but our surname has a "s" sound at the end - think Curtis so it may be too "S" ey.Thanks in advance, looking forward to your replys x

No offense intended but if I had to guess I would have thought Peyton sounded slightly manlier than Lakyn. Due to Peyton Manning, probably. Peyton works on a girl even more often, but Lakyn is girlier, IMO than either it or Dylan.

Avery or Rowan would work for a girl.

Super, super nerdy and weird but I've been liking Gwyneira recently despite not being Welsh at all myself. Welsh is awesome for y's.

I think Dylan and Peyton sound great together. It's not to girlie iykwim?!
I'm not sure of a boys name. Lakyn is nms but doesn't sound bad. Maybe a unisex name to keep in theme but not too feminine.... I love unisex names! Eta: what about something like Flynn? This post has been edited by TarneeW: 15/11/2012, 06:10 PM |

I like Peyton. Lakyn is not my style - but I don't think it's bad.
I like Ryder for a boy and Avery for a girl as other PPers have suggested! If you like names containing a Y and like Chase - I have seen it spelt Chayse. |

I like Dylan and Peyton as sisters!
Others for a girl: Tamsyn Gryffin Carlyn Bryony Bethany Brynn/a Not keen on Lakyn or Chase, I'll try to come back with other boy options... |
