Hi,
After 6 months of trying I finally got a positive pregnancy test. Yay! So what do I do now? I have no idea what appointments etc I need, I suppose I just see a GP first? Just moved from Newcastle to Maitland so the GP I was recommended to see is now too far away but I will continue to see my Naturopath. I would like to look at home birthing as well as birthing centres as I would love to have a water birth. I'm told there is some sort of homebirth program in the Hunter region but I have no idea where to start looking. If anyone can recommend a good (preferably female) GP and OB in the Maitland area please private message me. I know Maitland Hospital does not have a maternity ward but I'm not sure what other facilities are around. Also I would love feedback on any homebirth & waterbirth experiences. I don't want a hospital birth unless it's medically necessary, just seems so unnatural and I hate hospitals at the best of times. Looking forward to some feedback, thanks ladies! |
