My DD is already one, and still enjoys her morning and evening BF. I'm not in a rush to stop BUT I am keen to return to wearing underwire bras again. Is it OK to wear them now or can it still affect supply? I am definitely missing the support of an underwire bra!

Once my DD1 was down to two feeds a day I definitely switched straight back to underwire bras without any problems!

Thanks tick. It's good to hear that it didn't affect things for you. I'll give it a try :-)

Same - I couldn't bear the non-underwires towards the end of breastfeeding and switched back. Had no impact on my supply at all.

I started wearing an underwire from time to time round 9 months and just scrapped nursing bras altogether at 12 months (4 weeks ago). I do morning and bedtime feeds, pus an afternoon feed when I'm not at work ( 4 days a week). No problems whatsoever. Could have done it earlier.
The only issues that I have occasionally had to feed unexpectedly (I don't offer dont refuse for extra feeds during the day) and have had to shuffle around under my clothes but it's worth it to have proper support. |

Thanks to everyone for their replies. I have been wearing the underwire bras for at least a week now. No impact to supply but great impact to my self-esteem. It is so good to feel a little less self-conscious and a lot more supported when I have to run after our runaway puppy at the park!
Thanks lady lady for the tip on Blestbras. I will check them out. |
