Marley has decided kitty litters are beneath him now.
In his RSPCA notes it was written that he wasnt using the kitty litter all the time, which I dare say was a stress reaction. He was fine when we brought him home, but now, almost 12 months later he has started weeing and pooing on the lino, and to top it off I found wee all through the brand new basinette. Ive replugged in the diffusers in, and am taking him to the vets this afternoon but am still feeling really frustrated. I know something is going on which is why he is doing it. I dont think my abscence has helped, Ive only been home 2 weeks out of 7 and maybe he is getting some baby hormones but man, DH isnt home and I have to clean this up by myself |

No idea why, stress is the only thing I could think of.
But are you cleaning the areas he has weed in with biozet? Any cleaners with an ammonia base will leave a "wee" scent. Biozet breaks down the enzymes so there is no trace. Have you recently changed litters? Litter is all clean? Is there a new cat around the area that might be bothering him through the windows? |

Litter the same, no new cats (cant see them anyway as we have shutters on the front windows now because of said roaming cats).
I personally think its because i havent been home, Ive been flying to Brisbane alot and staying for a few weeks at a time. They have been housesat, but I think its because we havent physically been here. It makes me sad for him, you wonder what happened to him in the 7yrs prior to us being here that has made him so anxious and wanting to play up. But at the same time I am exhausted and have the nose of a bloodhound this pregnancy, the smells are killing me. LOL. |

We have one of ours that seems to like to pee on certain things... my clothes especially, so I can't leave anything lying around. But even enviro bags, cardboard anything is pee'd on. I think we need some more feliway as well! It seems to cut it down for a while, but recently we've had them pee on a few things, including my grandmothers expensive cushions that don't have covers! So my Mum has to take them to a dry cleaner to see if they can clean them.

He is healthy (bar a little bit of gingavitis) so the vet has prescribed him colmicalm. Poor little man. Apparently its an antidepressant.

Poor Marley, hope the clomicalm works magic on him. And poor you - I just had to clean up two messes in quick succession warm yoghurt (DD left in the car half eaten from brekky and dropped it onto the car seat) and cat vomit of the tuna variety. DH, when you put a new garbage bag in the bin, OPEN it so the damn bad doesn't drop everything all over the bin requiring me to wash the freaking thing.
Aah, that feels better. Sorry for stealing your grumble. |

QUOTE and my word, your bump is just bump-adorable!) Thankyou Eww to cat vomit, eww eww eww. FP - I think with feliway sometimes its a bit of a hit and miss. I have had sucess in the past, but I think once the anxiety gets to a certain level no amount of sniffing happy smells helps. LOL. |
