I do not know these people personally and am only commenting on the way they come across in the media! (sorry to them too if my spelling is wrong)

Now, I saw an interview on Jonathon Ross (UK show) with Melissa George and I thought the whole thing could have been Kylie Minogue, I noticed a similar thing with Kathryn Jenkins and Leona Lewis. When they first appeared on tv/interviews they came across as natural and honest now all four seem to me manufactured.

I am sure they are not like this in real life but I think it is a shame that their ‘naturalness’ has gone. Is it just me or is the media turning them into robots (or is it their choice)

I am not sure what I except with this post but the post about Melissa George made me think.

I saw an interview with Isla fisher in the David letterman show and she was very natural, comfortable and funny.
But then she is trying to establish herself as a comedian so maybe that's what is different. She is also married to Sasha Cohen who is fairly eccentric so that might be an influence.

I think some of them like to be a little bit aloof, diva like and arty. So in away they are playing a role. I think hours and hours of media everyday getting the same questions over and over again must be draining.
So playing this role makes it easier. Even if they do lose their genuine warmth and character.

This is why the whole Melissa George thing is weird. Surely she has been in the industry long enough to know you have to smile, inwardly cringe and the boring un imaginative questions and move on?

Hasn't Melissa george married some gazillionaire type of guy? Perhaps she is trying to lift herself in social status to that kind of level instead of teen actor from Oz. Not really a fan of hers though.

Not a fan of Kylie either - the artist. I *may* have a few of her albums lying around, because there is a lot of catchy stuff, but i am not a fan of the image of her or she showmanship she chooses. Too...flourish-y. But thats just me.
