My dog ate my brand new BBT thermometer today. omg! Already ordered another one tonight. Guess my normal thermometer will just have to do a few days.

I have a question re timing for taking your temp in the morning. Is it ok, as long as it is around the same time? Say, within an hour - each day?

Anything 15 mins either side of your normal time is ok. Once you start getting earlier or later than that, it pays to have a look at temp correcting.

Most important thing, though, is to temp after a good amount of proper sleep, and directly before doing ANYTHING!

vag temping is also much more accurate than oral...

Technically you're supposed to do it as close to the same time each morning as possible. I do it the moment I wake up, before dozing or moving around too much. My usual time to get up for work is around 7.20, and I count around 20mins either side of that time as normal. Any longer than that and I'll discard the temp, usually.

I have really broken sleep and it'd be rare for me to get 3 hours straight before temping (alarm goes off at 6am). My temps are a little erratic, but still show an obvious temp shift so that's all that matters to me... On weekends I often don't take my temp until 1-2 hours later and it still seems accurate enough. But I guess it's different for everyone.

I take mine anywhere between 5.30 and 6.30 am. I try not to get out of bed for an early morning wee after say 4am. I tend to roll around a bit in bed before I temp too, just because I'm awake or dozing, and my temps are fine. I say fine as in clear shift noticeable around ov, and both pre and post.
I chart with FF and the only time the temp shows a circle instead of a dot is if I take it at like 8am or something, but even then I generally don't bother.

I generally temp around 7am but on the weekends it can be later and doesn't really seem to affect my chart.

I try to make sure I have had at least 3 hrs sleep and no matter how busting I am for the toilet, I will temp first before moving lol
