Are the bed frames sturdy? The worst thing would be to buy one and it be rattly and noisy.

Also, has anyone bought a mattress from ikea? Are they decent?

TIA!

We have the Malm bed. Have had it for five years.

Also have two single beds we have hadmfor nearly ten years.

Hemnes daybed is three years old.

Anything ikea I'm our house lasts. Those items which were oz design or freedom have all fallen apart.

No noises from our beds

We have two in our holiday house. The Hemnes is very sturdy. I cant remember the name of the other one and it is fine too....but the Hemnes is super sturdy. We have a $500 matress from there too and it is more comfy than our stupidly expensive one we got that was 'designed' for our bodies (ie the two sides are different). So big thumbs up from me!

Hello! We have 2 ikea bed frames. One is great - very sturdy. The other is not quite rectangular. It's perfectly usable though, and neither of them are squeaky. I think some frames are better than others, and it helps to have someone handy to put it together. We're happy with ours.

Never tried ikea mattresses. We went with sealy.

Enjoy your new bed!

ETA The super sturdy one of ours is the Hemnes so I can second the PP's recommendation.

I bought a bed from ikea about 4 years ago for $350. It is very sturdy and I'm surprised how well it has lasted.
All our beds are ikea, but we get out mattresses elsewhere.

I've got the bottom of the range one which I brought off a friend. It has been disembled and re ensembled a number of times and appeares to be going fine.

Yes. We bought a ridiculously expensive ensemble for dj's and couldn't sleep on it ( were taking anti inflammatories for the backache in the end). Then went back to idea and bought a mattress for around $300. It's been fantastic.

I like cats, but I couldn't eat a whole one.
Don't get the Odda kids' bed. It's not as sturdy as you'd want these things to be.

We have the Hemnes day bed and it has been pretty good and sturdy so far (3 years), except I just noticed that one of the slats is broken.

Poor DS is in some $79 kids bed and although sturdy the slats broke quite quickly and it is not that comfortable even with a matress pad.
