Hi all,
First time posting but hoping to find some advice or at least people in the same boat. I'm not up to date with all the acronyms and shorthand people use so please forgive me! original.gif
I'm 26w3d with my first and I often find that I get an overwhelming feeling like I can't take a full breath. I suffer from a bit of claustrophobia, for example if I'm in a lift with a lot of people I get the same feeling, and this is basically the same feeling.
I know it's from feeling extremely full between baby, food and liquid but it's a little scary sometimes. I have my next antenatal appt in a couple of days and will ask the midwife but just after some real life stories...
Any thoughts, suggestions, fellow sufferers?
Thanks,Nelle

Is it like breathlessness? I get that all the time. It lasts for a few minutes and then goes again. Apparently this is another lovely by-product of progesterone...

I used to get tht all the time, at the end of both pregnancies. I didn't realize it was progesterone. I just thought it was baby Taking up space. It is normal. Perhaps learn a bit about why it's happening so that you can be ready and not panic when it happens. It is an awful feeling I remember, but it doesn't progress to anything worse.
