Yes. ph34r.gif

I once dated a guy who's dad was in his 80's (we were 18/19). It really affected him.

I think when you can access the kind of support that much money can buy, then it isn't too old.

Why?

I'm not arguing btw just wondering what your reasons are for thinking this.

Would you be asking the same question if a mum here on EB said she was 50 and having another child?

No. Congrats to them both. Their pensions may struggle but with wise management I'm sure they can cover the costs of a second child even in those tumultuous teenage years.

I know lots of people raised by grandparents and the age thing was never a factor, they were loved and had great upbringings. I have a couple of friends with older dads who were also awesome.

You can be a great or rotten parent any age, really. The age thing isn't a thing in and of itself, IMHO.

Elton and David are a lovely couple with lots of love to give. I don't feel anything but happiness for them and the child.

or Fembo maybe...
Meh. In this case, it's not like the kid's going to have a normal life anyway, and financially he'll be set up for life and want for nothing, ever. I'd say in that situation that age is fine.
