I am considering a light weight Phil and teds traveller cot, can anyone share their experience ?

DS is 3.5 months but on the 90th percentile for length

I'm about to move him out of his bassinet at home as he's outgrown it but not ready to move him out of our room (don't want to have to assemble and reassemble his cot between our room and his) - would a P&Ts work as a temporary measure til say Xmas ?

We go on holidays overseas then, which I'd take the traveller on - then move to his own room after we return

After that, P&TS would be used at grandparents or for visiting friends etc

Would all that make it worthwhile ? And what age could we feasibly use it to ?

Thanks

I don't have this one, I have the kinderkot but I think for what you want yours for the P & T would be better.

Depending on the length you may be able to use it long after your child has outgrown a standard port a cot. I would jsut be careful about stability in that stage where they pull themselges up, but you could use the side doors then I guess?

Becuase out kinderkot was so small and easy to take along we were able to use it when he was 3.5. You will find that if you use it for overseas travel it will more than pay for itself as some hotels charge for cots in your room. At least they said they did when we travelled to Canada, hence why we bought the kinderkot. I also like the idea of having a familiar environment for your child and you know it is clean and comfortable. I still remember getting a dodgy port a cot at a hotel that had a very lumpy mattress. DS ended up in our bed that night.

Have a google for different reviews.

I hope that helps

Yes. We've used ours extensively, including for weeks at a time in one place. It's had a total of around 6 months use in DS life (he's 2.5).

One of our best buys.
