Hi I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for home weather stations? My DH loves the weather so I thought I'd try & get him a weather station for christmas, especially now he is out of insurance so storms no longer stress him out
Thanks |

I got one for my husband last Christmas, I got it on eBay, around $100. They all seemed pretty much the same so I just went for one that wasn't too cheap, or too expensive. He loves it and I get very regular weather reports.

I got my Dad one from Australian Geographic last year... Oregon Scientic is the brand. They had a few different models, I can't remember which I got or how much it cost.
A friend had one (don't know the brand) which had an integrated rain gauge which would transmit rainfall details back to base inside the house. The sensor for the rain gauge was always getting blocked or otherwise not working. So my friend advised to get one that doesn't measure rainfall, get a separate "manual" rain gauge if you need. Dad's been very happy with it. |
