Hi,
I have mould on my windows that I am about to clean. Can somebody tell me is there any particular type of vinegar I should be using? I have white vinegar, is this good enough or do I need to buy fermented vinegar? I thought white vinegar was fine, then I read some forums about mould removal and they talked about fermented vinegar, so now am a bit confused! The vinegar I have is just a bottle of home brand white vinegar if that helps. Thanks, |

white is fine. if you sprinkle some bicarb first, you might have more luck with removing the mould stains as well.

The best vinegar is actually labelled as cleaning vinegar. It's more intense.
But slightly diluted white vinegar is fine. All vinegar is fermented. The difference is in the fermentation process. |

I just use regular white homebrand vinegar - about $1.35 from Coles for 2L - if it's good enough for Shannon Lush, it's good enough for me

Silly question but do you water down vinegar before using. I'd love to clean the shower properly.

I get lots of window mould in this house and use homebrand white vinegar and Oil Of Cloves essential oil in a spray bottle and it really works. About 1/2 a teaspoon of clove oil to 1ltr of vinegar. Just shake it up and spray and leave it for a few minutes, then go back and wipe it off. You can buy clove oil from Coles and some pharmacies.
