Place in Swan Valley for lunch tomorrow?, Family friendly?

Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a nice place for lunch tomorrow (weather permitting)? My Dad & his partner are over from NSW and looking for somewhere nice for us all to go - we've got kids, 6 and 8, so somewhere family friendly would be good, but really want some nice food, Dad's a bit of a gourmet!

We had lunch a few months ago at the Laughing Barrell. It was family friendly, a nice outdoor area on a sunny day and the kids got to make their own pizzas for lunch. The food was good but not gourmet.

I was going to say the Laughin Barrell also. It is very family friendly with a small playground as well. It can get quite busy so you might want to book.

We took the whole mob to Elmars - its not cheap but the food is fab and they coped magnificently with a heap of children; including one of mine having a full scale meltdown due to drinking apple juice... They have a wonderful back lawn for running up and down Mind you, its going to rain tomorrow, so you may want somewhere more indoors Am going to check out the Laughing Barrel !

I like the Swan Valley Cafe. It doesn't look like much from the front, but the garden out the back is just gorgeous. There is a plant nursery attached as well as lawn for the kids to run around on and a tree to climb. The food is lovely, but it is entirely vegetarian. Eta they have indoor seatin too. Thanks all, because it was all a last-minute thing, I had left it too late to book the Laughin Barrell, altho sounds like a visit there might be in order! I tried another couple of wineries, but they were full too, so we ended up at the Feral Brewery, which I thought was OK, we had a nice day out anyway.

Elmars or the Feral Brewery, neither are really cheap but the food is good & they have outdoor tables with plenty of room for the kids to run. They Black Swan winery is also nice but prob a bit less kid friendly if you want to let them have a play whilst you relax.
