Fireworks when you kiss? Expensive dinners and flowers? Nah..... I rediscovered today just how much Himself truly loves me.

I come from a line of librarians/records managers. Nearly went down that path myself. We have spent the past two days sorting out boxes of filing and cleaning out our filing cabinet. We each have a drawer, plus the 'household stuff' drawer.

My drawer and the household one are perfectly ordered and alphabetised. Himself's drawer is best not looked in. He doesn't 'do' order. He scoffs at my bookshelf, which is arranged by genre, specific topic - eg history - Russian (947, anyone???) - then author. His bookshelf has books in it.

This afternoon Himself took me by the hand, led me into the office and opened his filing drawer... he has alphabetised it. wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif

What unusual thing has your partner done to show their love?

He always serves my dinner without stuff overlapping to avoid my weird obsession with "cross contaminating" flavours wink.gif

Before getting pregnant, DH used to chill my wine glass before I got home so it was ready for me!

He also always makes me a cuppa every morning.

He puts my cheese on the crackers for me, and lines them up to reduce time between cheese hits. I adore him for this.

He always says thank you for the meals I make and tells me it tastes good even when it's awful. It means a lot especially if I'm trying something new or have spent a lot of time on it

Mine does this too. Its become such a nice habit that the kids do it to.,

My top one I think is that he doesnt complain about my bookcase(s) and was in the back room today trying to figure out how he can fit another one in to cater for my overflowing book collection.

He will also bring me a cup of tea if I am hiding in my room with my nose in a book. hheart.gif

Mine goes along with my need for things to be really clean. Today he cleaned all the blinds in our place because he knew it would please me. Also he does the laundry and is always cooking. Gorgeous, thoughtful acts of service flow freely from him.
