Hi,

I was wanting a grill frypan for Xmas but not sure which one. Any suggestions on a good brand or one that you love. I just need something to start with.

My advice is to not get a nonstick one as they can be hard to clean and the coating will come off. You can get cast iron ones for around $30 at most kitchen stores and department stores which should do the trick.
The french enamel ones are good, but pricey. it also depends on the size of your family as to how big you go. The cheaper ones can be quite small.

I have a rip-off one from Aldi and it has been sensational. A whopping $20! Steaks are amazing. It's easy to clean, I scrub with a scourer and none of the enamel has worn off.

If you want to invest a bit in a good grill pan I'd suggest Scanpan. It cooks steaks perfectly. For cleaning, you simply run it under hot water and then wipe off excess foods.
