They are cookies made with oats and brewers yeast (amongst other things), both of which are supposed to help increase your supply.

I've not had supply issues to have to make them so can't help you out with a recipe, but google brings up a bunch of different recipes original.gif

I made the ones from the PP's bellybelly.com.au link the other week.

I added sultanas, diced dried apricots and dark choc chips as the 'additionals'. I'm pretty sure they helped with my supply (I've been having issues) and since running out the other day I've noticed a difference. I'm baking more tomorrow.

I wasn't too fussed on the raw dough, but the cooked biscuits were delicious. I'd have a few with a cup of tea.

Ignorance is not a point of view.
I make lactation cookies using the condensed milk biscuit recipe (which I also got off here).

Mine are packed with all sorts of goodies, but the "active" ingredients are flaxseed meal, brewers yeast, and oats. I also add coconut, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, dried fruit (apple, apricots, sultanas) and nuts (pine nuts and slivered almonds).

Lots of good things for a breastfeeding mum. original.gif

I can post the actual recipe with quantities if anyone wants me to.

Seriously...just buy the Boobie bikkies from pinky McKay. I chased the ingredients from health store to health store...made the cookies and were singlehandedly the foulest thing I've ever tasted. The brewers yeast and flaxseed are sitting in their expensive bags in the pantry taunting me. The boobie bikkies are delish and work out to $2 each....I definitely rate them!

I made Bill Granger's oat and choc chip cookies.

I have a plentiful supply, but these are a great medium GI snack for the middle of the night. They taste wonderful. One quantity makes about 32 biscuits, so I am freezing the dough in 8 biscuit batches, and baking them every so often so they're always pretty fresh.

I think a snack with oats and good hydration is as important as rest for making milk... but I don't really subscribe to foods like brewers yeast actually promoting milk production. Raisin toast and a hit chocolate would also probably do the same job.
