Sorry to the science buffs out there. I thought this toy was really cute (on another site)and then I found out what it was:

I think they're great - we got a bookworm given to us when DS was born, that's a bit more appropriate than one of the venereals though!

I love them (but yeah, maybe not the most appropriate gift for a new baby unless it has geeky parents wink.gif). I'm planning on giving my DD the giant brain cell for Christmas... she already has every soft toy animal known to humankind, but I know she'll totally love the idea of a brain cell! biggrin.gif

A friend of mine gave some to her dad who is a microbiologist and he thought they were great too.

I was so close to buying a herpies one. It looks like a cute sun for our baby daughter. Then I realised that at some point she would take it to school and then we'd get a phone call fom the teacher who would not share our sense of humour. It'd all end badly.
