Me, "Look at my bump!"
Hubby, "you're pushing out!"
Me, "Nope... THIS is pushing out...."
Hubby, 'woah!'

Bronze!

My GTT sucked. I spent the whole 2 hours varying between about to throw up and about to pass out. Needle one - missed the vein, use the other arm, needle 2 success in the first arm, needle three back in arm 2 - she used the same F'ing vein!!! It hurt SO bad that I cried. I don't remember ever crying during blood tests before but i could not stop - my god it hurt. I came home and decided to take the day off. I felt awful. DH brought me a kebab for lunch which helped - get some good food into me! Was nice to have a nanna nap this afternoon anyway. I'm not looking forward to the 28 week GTT.... but I don't remember having the 2 hour one last time either.

So glad to hear everyone's scans have been going really well. How exciting!!
Well I was hospitalised on Saturday, my morning sickness is so bad I became severely dehydrated and started losing my vision. Not fun at all. But bub is fine and after lots of fluids and medications I am feeling a little better. I can keep water down now at least and the last two days even managed a few meals original.gif

Oh and a quick intro of myself (forget if I have done one), I'm 21, from Victoria, engaged to my beautiful man (highschool sweethearts and will celebrate 5 years together around bubba's EDD). My son Leo is nearly 17 months and still breastfeeding/comfort nursing (very draining) biggrin.gif

Sarkasm - that sounds horrible, I'm really not looking forward to mine. I have one vein that nurses like to use and each time it is getting more and more painful.

I'm feeling "less pregnant" now than for the 14 weeks previous! Apart from itchy, stretching skin and a growing belly I'm starting to feel like myself, getting some energy back (went two days in a row with out an afternoon disco nap! Success!) and am finding I can exercise without feeling like I want to fall asleep standing up. My eating has also gone back to normal (apart from chicken. Chicken tastes weird.).

I'll claim boobies!

Sorry, I've been MIA - well, far too slack to post.

I'm so pleased to read about everyone's scans.

Oh sarkazm, so sorry you had such an awful experience with your GTT. I had the 'pleasure' of doing the GTT at 10 weeks being prediabetic prior to being pregnant - now I officially have gestational diabetes and get to follow a strict diet for the remainder of my pregnancy, oh joy rolleyes.gif
Having done IVF and been the proverbial pin cushion, I've discovered that there are pathology people who can properly collect blood and those who can't. Your collector was a definite 'can't' - seriously hope your next GTT will be a far less painful experience.

MadelineCharlotte, RealityBites - I'm sorry your ms/hg has gotten to the point where you have needed to go to hospital. Hope it provided some much needed relief.

Madeline - awww, I love hearing stories about people who marry their high school sweethearts biggrin.gif I married my uni sweetheart - met at 18 and we're still together nearly 20 years later.

newseason - roll2.gif I think I'm in denial about my bump - I'm fobbing it off as an extra layer of fat rather than baby!

dotdash - me too! I don't feel pregnant anymore. MS has all but gone, I've gone back to the gym (yay!) - I just feel like a diabetic who has to monitor her blood sugar levels throughout the day and follow a low carb diet. I've basically lost interest in my actual pregnancy, but all I'm thinking about is life with 3 of us and how it will be wub.gif

AFM - just plodding along, funny thing was that as soon as I had my 12 week NT scan and got back the good results, my mind has totally relaxed - I was anxious in the first trimester, basically taking it one week at a time, and now, hardly a care in the world - dunno if this is good or bad.

I spent the whole of Wednesday in hospital with gastro sad.gif - I'm one of those people who just can't stop vomiting when they get it. Woke up 3.30am Wednesday feeling very ill, started vomiting and kept vomiting every 10 minutes. DH rang the nurse-on-call service who said go to ED if I can't handle the vomiting, otherwise see a GP within 4 hours. Ended up going to the ED and was very lucky that they took me in straight away. Hooked up on IV fluids and anti-nausea meds. I only went to ED because I was worried about the baby and getting dehydrated, otherwise, I would have just stayed at home and rode it out which I have done previously. It wasn't until I was in hospital that I realised that in the previous gastro episodes I've had, I've virtually driven myself into the ground - I didn't think that severe vomiting and having the runs is worthy of a trip to the ED blush.gif

Off to see my OB this afternoon where I get to break the news to him that I'm off to the Maldives in Jan - anyone else going on a babymoon??

Hi ladies,

Been a bit since I posted... Great to see so many positive scans and progress original.gif All good over here, we had a great scan, baby has all it's bits, low risk results (NT).

Does anyone else have an anterior placenta? I do atm (it could move later), but I'm wondering if it's what's causing my terrible back pain sad.gif

Clothes: Anyone looking for some boho, comfy maternity clothes, I recently bought 4 maxis from http://www.fillyboomaternity.com/c/4002702...ty-clothes.html

'Let's be together' (black) and 'The story of' (navy/white stripe) are my favs! I team them with fluoro thin belts, long necklaces, light crocheted vests/boleros, and some thongs (it is Summer in QLD after all original.gif).

TV: I've also downloaded 3 seasons of One Born Every Minute and have been watching each night. I end up in "happy" tears almost every episode biggrin.gif

sarkazm - what a horrible experience! Hopefully next time you get someone who is better at inserting needles.

realitybites & madeleinecharlotte & scruff1010 - your poor things. I hope you start feeling better soon.

jenganoosh - I don't have an anterior placenta this time but I did with my first pregnancy. It didn't cause me backache but definately meant I felt baby movement much later and it wasn't all that frequent. At the beginning of my labour DD was posterior (don't know if that was because of an anterior placenta or not) which meant I had awful backache during labour (but that eased up a lot when I got into the bath).
