Hi Ladies,

Just wondering if anyone else is having trouble with their sciatica? It took me four goes to get out of bed this morning, and I'm struggling. I've got a very good osteo who's helping but I'm worried that if I'm in this much pain at 16 weeks, how bad is it really going to get? sad.gif

I got it big time when I was walking home from the bus the other day. I stopped to put some things in my bag, then started. The quick movement caused really strong sharp pains running through my hip and into my leg. Felt like I could hardly walk.

I am also having issues with mine. I am finding it very difficult to walk at times. It hits when I dont expect it and stops me dead in my tracks. I have been stretching and still going to the gym but have to stop when it flares. I also had SI joint issues before I got pregnant so both are an issue for me....havent found a helpful cure yet... good luck :-)

Trust me... I'm a scientician
Physio, physio and more physio.

From someone who has been nearly crippled with sciatica, I can't advocate physio enough. The key is to work on your core strength, they will show you how.

Watch the weight of things you pick up, remember to bend with your knees, and never EVER twist your body whilst lifting, even if it's only something light. Good luck.
