Just after some honest opinions on the name Harley (used for a boy).
I love the name but am a bit biased as it is my father's name. There are two things holding me back though. The first is the obvious motorbike association. Neither DP nor I are into motorbikes and I don't really like the idea that people will assume that's why we chose the name. Also, I'm aware that Harley is now being increasingly used as a girl's name and not sure that it's still used for boys anymore. WDYT? |

I like it. I don't know one girl named Harley but one boy and I never thought of the motor bike association.

I first thought of a girl, but I really like it for either.

NMS, I see it as a boys name but I know many pets with the same name. This turns me off using it for a child.

I knew a gorgeous lady (would have been in her 80's now if she was still with us) called Harley so it has always been a female or motorbike name for me.
I think if you are not big shiny American motorbike fans then it would be safer to give your little boy Harley as his middle name. |

It did make me think "Davidson" immediately, but it's not a bad name.

I love it - it was my Grandfather's name and we were very close. I didn't use it probably because of the association with Harley Davidson.
