Just after some honest opinions on the name Harley (used for a boy).

I love the name but am a bit biased as it is my father's name.

There are two things holding me back though.

The first is the obvious motorbike association. Neither DP nor I are into motorbikes and I don't really like the idea that people will assume that's why we chose the name.

Also, I'm aware that Harley is now being increasingly used as a girl's name and not sure that it's still used for boys anymore.

WDYT?

I like it. I don't know one girl named Harley but one boy and I never thought of the motor bike association.

I first thought of a girl, but I really like it for either.

NMS, I see it as a boys name but I know many pets with the same name. This turns me off using it for a child.

I knew a gorgeous lady (would have been in her 80's now if she was still with us) called Harley so it has always been a female or motorbike name for me.

I think if you are not big shiny American motorbike fans then it would be safer to give your little boy Harley as his middle name.

It did make me think "Davidson" immediately, but it's not a bad name.

I love it - it was my Grandfather's name and we were very close. I didn't use it probably because of the association with Harley Davidson.
