Is there any way i can find out DP's ring size without actually measuring it... he does wear one ring but rarely takes it off?

I want to order his xmas present but would hate for it to be the wrong size...

I have been tossing up ideas on this exact problem! I am thinking I might print out a ring sizer chart, get him to take his ring off under some guise of "I got a new polishing cloth, want me to do yours", or something like that, and quickly measure it.

You can find the sizers through google pretty easily.

DP's ring doesn't come off easily so he is unlikely to take it off for something like that... and i can't think of a reason he would be taking it off...

and i don't wear rings so i don't have the guise of cleaning my own stuff...

any other ideas why a man would take his ring off? he isn't likely to be doing anything mechanical/dirty enough to consider taking his ring off for it.

If you can get him to take his ring off you can measure the internal diameter - that way you can calculate the size (or PM me and I'll calculate it for you)

You can't determine ring sizes any other way than measuring fingers or rings that fit those fingers!

* oops just read your post - he won't take it off.
OK then you are going to have to get some ring sizers and play the little "What size are all of your fingers?" game.

Luckily for me I have a lovely set of metal ring sizers and people love to play with them...

Try measuring it with a piece of string when he's asleep. Then measure the string against a ruler.
Good luck!

oh i like your thinking! He sleeps pretty deeply but not deep enough i would be able to get his ring off, but surely deep enough for that... dev (6).gif
