I have liked Indiana for a little girl for years..
I am expecting again and it is still up there on my list of faves!

I don't like place names unless you have a strong connection to the place.

I didn't overly like the state when I went there for work, so I wouldn't name a child after it.

But at least in that form its spelt correctly.

I'd prefer Indigo, Imogen, or Ivy.

But I'm an East Coast baby. Indiana is very associated with the Rust Belt and decay to me.

Aside from Caroline/Carolina there's not too many states I'd use as names honestly. But Indy is cute so I can understand that appeal. And the one-n spelling is the best of them.

I prefer Iliana/Ileana though. So perhaps I am strange.

Not a fan of geography names and Indiana always conjures up images of Indiana Jones (pause here to drift off into imaginary encounter ...........) and yes, I know his name wasn't really Indiana in the movie.

I like the sound of the name, but not the name if that makes sense. I also prefer Indigo or India.
