This is a re-post from the last thread, I went to a lot of trouble to type that up only to have a new thread start
I have been reading a lot-probably more than I will list here but all I can remember. There and back Again by Sean Astin. It was his story about the filming of the Lord of the Rings. It wasn't great which was disappointing. The Secret Lives of Dresses by Eron McKean-this was a really lovely book. Quite emotional in parts. Tensy Farlow and the home for Mislaid Children by Jen Storer-this was really good This Way Up by Paige Nick Meryl Streep Movie Club-pretty lame Pennies for Hitler by Jackie French-wonderful Wrapped Up in You by Carole Matthews-ok One Day in May & A Rural Affair by Catherine Alliot I have only recently discovered Catherine Alliot. If you like chick lit then check her out-she is very Marian Keyes-ish. |

QUOTE The Devil's Diadem by Sara Douglass It's awesome! I loved this too. I've really enjoyed nearly all her books but this is one of the best. I've just finished the Hunger Games and now I'm reading the new Ken Follett - Winter of the World (or somesuch...). Its OK so far - I'm only a short way into it. |

| Rather inclined to giggle. Doesn't put things away. | |

I finally read Twilight (yes, very late to the party). I didn't mind it actually, was expecting it to be worse. Not quite understanding the obsession, but I enjoyed the story and the world Meyer created.
I also just finished A Secret Kept by Tatiana de Rosnay which I loved. Currently reading more Jean Plaidy: The Sixth Wife of Henry the 8th. |

Never ended up reading The Appointment, I had a few things on and didn't feel like I could fully concentrate, and it is a book I want to really take in. So it can wait.
Finished The Sealed Letter by Emma Donoghue, which was pretty good, now half way through Dreamfever (4th book in the Fever series) by Karen Marie Moning. |

I am reading "The Casual Vacancy" by J.K. Rowling. Only about 50 pages in but it is interesting so far. Completely different to Harry Potter (which I guess it needs to be)

I just finished The Yellow Birds, by Kevin Powers which I thought I would love but I was only really 'meh' about. I feel a bit depressed after it so I think I need something cheerful for my next read.
